14 Young People Face Drug Charges After Raid On Eldersburg Apartment

State police and agents from the Carroll County State’s Attorney office served a search warrant on the occupants of an apartment on Long Meadow Drive, in Eldersburg, on Saturday night, Jan. 11, at 11:50 pm.

The authorities seized a quantity of narcotics and arrested 14 young persons, mostly of the Eldersburg-Sykesville area, on narcotics charges.

The apartment was rented by Miss Kathleen Barber, 18.

She was charged with possession of narcotics, paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.

Similarly charged was David Goodman, 21, Sykesville.

Each was later released from Baltimore City Jail on $3000 bond.

Four others were charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotic paraphernalia. They were David E. Simpson, 20, John T. Doukas, 22, Frank D. Brothers, 21, and Larry D. Patrick, 25, all of Sykesville. All were released, upon payment of $2000 bond after being held at Baltimore City Jail.

Charged with possession of narcotics were Larry J. Gregerson, 22, Danny C. Slaubaugh, 19, Thomas L. Creech, 19, Walter L. Feezer, 19, and Sharon M. Cunningham, 18, all of Sykesville. Also held on the same charges were Mary S. Owens, 18, Woodbine, and Virginia L. Null, 18, Taneytown. As of Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 15, all were released from Baltimore City Jail after posting pond of $1000.
