Woman’s Club Is Sponsoring Project Set For July

The April meeting of the Woman’s Club was held at the home of Mrs. Clarence Clarke on Thursday, the 8th. Routine club business was discussed and delicious refreshments were served by the hostesses, Mrs. Stewart Hurline, Mrs. Reid Isaac, Mrs. William Mason Jones.

At this meeting, due to the efforts of Mrs. Carl Watchorn, local chairman, a detailed account of how to conduct a blood donor unit was presented to the Club by Mr. Walter Suter, Assistant Director of Baltimore unit; Dr. Billingslea, Carroll County chairman; and Mrs. Paul Wimert, publicity chairman, Westminster Unit. This Unit will be brought to Sykesville in July. The project will be sponsored by the Woman’s Club and the whole community will be given an opportunity to assist in making a success of this every essential war effort.
