Sgt. Norris Hall is spending a month’s leave with his mother, Mrs. Viola Hall. He will leave for Seattle, Wash. on Feb. 24 and from there go to Korea.

Mrs. Katie Bennett and Mrs. Ruth Barber served as co-hostesses with Mrs. Walter Linton at the last meeting of the Wesley0Freedom WSCS. We regret omitting their names from last week’s column.

Mr. Kenneth Cook and Mrs. Dora Grimes, of Howard County, visited Mrs. Charles Cook on Sunday.

Due to illness Mr. and Mrs. James Holt, of Flohrville, are staying with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Ebeling of Grandview. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lawless and daughter, Toni, of Manahan Apartments, will move into the Holt home this month. Mrs. Lawless is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Holt.

Welcome to the crib and playset: the son born to Mr. and Mrs. William McCarthy, of Carroll Highlands, and named Steven Patrick McCarthy. Steven weighted in at 6 lbs, 13 oz., at Union Memorial Hospital, on February 9. His paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Edward McCarthy, of Ellicott City, and his maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Filler, of Sparks, Md.

Mr. Michael J. Nord was feted on his birthday, Sunday, by the visit of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil S. Nord, of Lochearn, his grandmother, Mrs. Adina C. Dahigren, of Strandberg, S. D., Mr. and Mrs. Philip E. Nord, of Glen Burnie, and Mr. and Mrs. George Hiltner, of Locheam.
