New Wing Of Carroll County Hospital Nears Completion

Construction of the Kriel-Stansbury wing, which will double the capacity of the Carroll County General Hospital, is progressing and is now 70 per cent complete, Charles O. Fisher, president, reported at the hospital’s recent annual meeting.

The new wing is scheduled to be opened in June.

Officers of the hospital were reelected at the annual meeting on January 22. They include: Scott S. Balr, honorary chairman of board; Atlee W. Wampler, chairman of board; F. Kale Mathias, vice chairman; Charles O. Fisher, president; Howard E. Koontz, Jr., vice president; Daniel A. Scott, secretary; and J. Ralph Bonsack, treasurer.

Elected to the exectutive committee were:

Paul E. Lawyer, finance committee chairman; James C. Snyder, building committee chairman; A. Olin Grimes, pension committee chairman; James A. Smith, equipment committee chairman; Harry B. Dougherty, joint conference  chairman; C. Ray Hollinger, real estate committee chairman; J. Walter Spelcher, audit-budged committee chairman, and Dr. Charles L. Biltingsica.

Bair and Nathan Weinstock were elected honorary directors, joining the Rev. James Reter and LeRoy D. Wenitz.
