Rev. Fletcher To Be Installed As Pastor Sunday

The Rev. William W. Fletcher will be installed as pastor of Springfield Presbyterian Church, Sykesville, in a special service at the local church this Sunday evening, March 27, at 7:30. The public is cordially invited to attend.

A commission of four ministers and two elders, named by the Potomac Presbytery of the Southern Presbyterian Church, will conduct the installation service. The commission includes:

Chaplain Richard C. Lipsey, FOrt Meade, Md.

Rev. Robert W. Galloway, pastor, and Elder Robert Davison, of the Towson Presbyterian Church.

Rev. Max Ecke, Jr., pastor of the new Mt. Hebron Presbyterian Church being established off Route 99, near Ellicott City.

Rev. James Salango, pastor of the new Presbyterian Church being formed in the All View section of Howard County.

Elder Earl Carter, of Springfield Presbyterian Church.

Chaplain Lipsey, who helped to supply the Springfield pulpit for several months while the local church was without a pastor, is chairman of the commission. He will preside and will propose the questions to the minister and the congregation.

The sermon will be delivered by the Rev. Galloway.

Following the service, a reception for the new pastor and his family will be held in the church school.
