Seven Colored Prisoners Sentenced

March 26, 1914

Judge Williams H. Forsythe sentenced the following prisoners, all colored, on Monday, at Ellicott City:

Lottie Brookes, larceny, ninety days in the county jail.
William Gardner, larceny, thirty days in the county jail.
Leonard Howard, larceny, six months in Maryland House of Correction.
William Jones, receiving stolen goods, one year in House of Correction.
Harriet Butler, larceny, two years in Maryland Penitentiary.
Charles Thomas horse stealing, one year in Maryland House of Correction.
Albert Hines, horse stealing, three years in Maryland penitentiary, and jail breaking, two years in same institution.
