Springfield Board Meets with Governor Goldsborough

The Springfield Hospital Board met Friday at Governor Goldsborough’s city office and submitted a report for October and November. On October 1 752 males and 591 females were inmates of the hospital. There were only 717 males and xxx females there on November 30.

Dr. J. Clement Clark, the superintendent reported that the general health of the patients was been good, and that much of the regular work and improvements about the hospital grounds have been done by patients. In the two months fourteen new nurses and five new attendants were appointed, while nine nurses and two attendants resigned.
