The first meeting of the PTA of South Carroll High School will be held in the dining room on Monday, Feb. 26, at 8 p.m.

The Berrett Homemakers’ Club will meet on Tuesday evening, Feb. 2, at 8 o’clock at the Carroll County Farm Museum, Westminster.

The Ladies’ Auxiliary of The Sykesville Volunteer Fire Company will meet on Monday, Feb. 26, at 8 p.m., in the fire hall.

Miss Marie Donohue, of Marriottsville, is a surgical patient at Bon Secours Hospital.

Army Private Leon Gernand, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gernand, Rt. 4, Sykesville, left on Tuesday for Oakland, California, enroute to Vietnam, after spending a 20-day furlough with his family and friends.

Mrs. Guy Haynie, of Mariottsville, after 15 months of recuperating from a spinal fusion and being confined in a torso cast, is now in a plastic cast and doing well, Mr. and Mrs. Haynie flew to Cape Corral, Fla., for a week’s vacation.

Mrs. J. Marion Harris, who recently underwent surgery, left Maryland General Hospital on Saturday, Feb. 17, and is recuperating at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Hutchins at Mitchellville, Md.
