Bailey P. Dudder, 33, Victim of Truck Mishap

Bailey P. Dudderar, 33, of Sykesville, was fatally injured late Saturday afternoon in a trucking accident at Brooksville, Montgomerycounty. The mishap occurred at 5 o’clock when Dudderar fell from the running board of a truck on which he was catching a ride. He died two hours later in Montgomery General Hospital, Sandy Springs.

Dudderar, twin son of the lat Bailey P., and Mary Bennett Dudderar, of Sykesville, had recently been engaged in the trucking business in the Montgomery county community. When his truck broke down on Saturday afternoon, he telephoned his wife to come and get him.

In the meantime, he walked down the road to a nearby lunchroom and got a sandwich. While in the eating place, he noticed his wife drive by enroute to the  disabled truck.

Leaving the lunchroom, it was reported, he halled a passing truck. Hopping on the running board, he fell or was thrown to the ground and rendered unconscious. And ambulance was summoned and removed him to the hospital, where he died of a fractured skull.

Besides his wife, formerly Mrs. Elizabeth Miller, of Gaither, he leaves two small daughters. Three brothers, the other twin, Walter, and Jack Wilford, also survive. His father, Bailey P. Dudderar, Sr., died last November 13.

Funeral services, conducted by the Rev. Owen Osborne, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock , from the Weer Funeral Home, Sykesville. Burial took place in Springfield cemetery.
